Linen should be hand washed in cool or lukewarm water, not exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, as high temperatures cause the fibers to deteriorate faster and can shrink by up to 10%. Liquids are definitely better for washing linen than powders, and bleach and harsh chemicals should not be used. Drying on a flat surface is recommended. Linen requires ironing at a high temperature, between 180 and 200 degrees Celsius.
