Peony was named after Paeon, a student of Asclepius, the Greek God of medicine and healing. In Greek mythology, when Asclepius became jealous of his pupil, Zeus saved Paeon from the wrath of Asclepius by turning him into the beautiful peony flower that could live forever and represents a happy life full of prosperity. Therefore, each spring, when the flower blossoms you can wear your silk scarf and be a part of nature and its spectacular history.
