In this unique design you can find the Minoan Goddess of Snakes. Two similar figurines were excavated in the early 1900’s in the Greek island of Crete. This 3,500-year-old figurine depicts a woman with bare breasts holding a snake in each of her raised hands and a feline on its head. The two famous figurines of the Minoan goddess with the snakes, possibly representing a mother goddess and a daughter. It is believed to represent the renewal of life due to the fact that snakes shed their skin during their lives. The Goddess also represents motherhood and the gift of life due to her bare breasts that interprets into bringing new life in our world. On their heads they have either a cat or panther representing the power of women.
